Qualified Teacher – Special Educational Needs (SEN) School
Location: Totton, Hampshire
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:15pm
Salary: MPS/UPS – Pay to Scale

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fully Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join a specialist secondary school in Totton that supports pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties, autism, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and medical needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who require highly individualised learning approaches and specialist support.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, healthcare professionals, and families.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to pupils' needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working within SEN settings, particularly with pupils with autism, PMLD, severe learning difficulties (SLD), or complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching.
