About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering meaningful, engaging learning experiences to students with complex needs. You’ll be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders who are committed to inclusive education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Teaching secondary‑aged pupils with SLD, PMLD, and Autism
  • Supporting and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress using appropriate methods
  • Promoting communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil care

Who We’re Looking For

To be considered, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEND pupils (or a strong interest in SLD, PMLD, and Autism)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A good understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
