About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering meaningful, engaging learning experiences to students with complex needs. You’ll be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders who are committed to inclusive education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Teaching secondary‑aged pupils with SLD, PMLD, and Autism
- Supporting and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress using appropriate methods
- Promoting communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil care
Who We’re Looking For

To be considered, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEND pupils (or a strong interest in SLD, PMLD, and Autism)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A good understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
