We are working with a range of specialist schools, SEN provisions, and inclusive mainstream settings across Surrey who are seeking talented teachers to support children and young people with additional needs. Opportunities are available on a supply, temporary-to-permanent, and permanent basis, offering flexibility to suit your career goals and lifestyle.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping students achieve academic, social, and personal success within a supportive learning environment.

We Are Looking For Teachers With Experience Supporting:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

  • Complex learning needs

  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

  • ADHD and associated learning needs

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Develop and implement personalised learning strategies.

  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).

  • Previous experience teaching children with SEN, either within specialist or mainstream settings.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners.

  • ECTs with relevant SEN placement experience are encouraged to apply.
