Job description

SEN Teacher – Schools Across Sunderland

We are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to support a range of schools across Sunderland. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet individual needs

  • Support students with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience working with SEN pupils (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
