SEN Teacher – Primary Schools
Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (dependent on experience, in line with MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to work within Primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across the Southampton area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering tailored education and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and development
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with pupils with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Compliance Requirements
- Applicants must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
