SEN Teacher (Primary or Secondary)

Full-Time | Permanent | Start: September 2026
Location: Reading & Newbury

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis, working across the Reading and Newbury area. This role is suitable for teachers with either Primary or Secondary experience who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs.

The Role

You will be working closely with students who have complex needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic progress, communication, independence, and personal development. The role also involves close collaboration with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and inclusive education.

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or are motivated to pursue teacher training
  • Have previous experience working within a SEN environment (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching
  • Are patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
