SEN Teacher – Portsmouth

Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 (Paid to Scale)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive educational setting in Portsmouth. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering a competitive salary paid in line with the teacher pay scale.
The Role:

Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to pupils with Special Educational Needs
-
Plan, assess and adapt learning to meet individual student needs
-
Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals
-
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
-
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
-
Have experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD)

Be patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
-
Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
Safeguarding Requirements:

Must have an Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service or
-
Be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
