Job description

Urgent: SEN Teacher – Primary, Norwich (Immediate Start)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate teacher committed to supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

A full, valid driving licence is MUST have requirement, as well as a Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service to fast track your application.

Role Overview:
Teach within small specialist classes, delivering tailored learning experiences that meet individual developmental needs.

Class Information:

Year 2 Class

  • Small class of 6 boys
  • Verbal pupils following an EYFS-based curriculum
  • Working below age-related expectations
  • Some support with personal care required

Year 3 Class 

  • Class of 7 boys and 1 girl
  • Semi-formal curriculum
  • More complex needs, focusing on communication and interaction
  • Some personal care support required
  • Maternity cover starts 14th April

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary setting
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service – required for fast-track clearance

  • Confident supporting pupils with communication needs and developmental delays
  • Comfortable providing personal care support where needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
