Hours: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: £172.98 per day

Age Range: 3 – 19 years

Job Description

SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in the Llanelli is looking for flexible teachers for January start dates. The school specialises in supporting and providing learning opportunities for pupils with autism, learning difficulties and social emotional behaviour. The school are looking for strong minded, proactive, adaptable and compassionate individuals who can deliver high-quality and individualised education.

About the pupils

You will be working with pupils who may have:

  • Moderate to severe learning difficulties
  • Social communication challenges
  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Social emotional behaviour needs

Key Responsibilities

As a SEN Teacher you will:

  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists and multi-agency staff
  • Create safe and calming classroom environments
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that support communication, confidence and independence
  • Engage with parents and external professionals
  • Support personal care routines where required

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Have a DBS or able to obtain one
  • Hold a full valid UK driving license
