Are you a passionate and committed SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity this September?
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist education provider that supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication and learning needs. Due to continued expansion and the opening of a brand-new specialist site in Guildford this September, we are seeking dedicated SEN Teachers to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join either an established specialist setting or a brand-new provision from its very beginning, helping to shape an exceptional learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, personalised learning that enables pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential. Working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment tailored to each learner's individual needs.
The new provision will initially cater for primary-aged pupils but will expand over time to include secondary-aged students. As such, experience teaching across both primary and secondary SEN settings would be highly advantageous, although teachers with experience in either phase are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.

Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Develop and implement personalised learning plans and contribute to EHCP reviews.

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.

Promote pupils' independence, confidence, communication and social development.

Foster positive behaviour through consistent, supportive strategies.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole-school development.
About You
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs is essential.

Experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is highly desirable.

Experience teaching across both primary and secondary SEN settings is beneficial due to the planned expansion of the new provision.

Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
