Sen Teacher
Job description
Location: Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook (Across Hampshire- location will be discussed)
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teachers (QTS) to join a range of specialist schools across Hampshire. These are full-time, long-term opportunities within supportive SEND settings, ideal for teachers who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering tailored, inclusive education to pupils with a variety of additional needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons, supporting individual learning journeys, and working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families.
Your responsibilities may include:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with EHCPs

Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
-
Managing behaviour positively and effectively
-
Working closely with Teaching Assistants and multidisciplinary teams
-
Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

Settings Available
You will have the opportunity to work in one of the following specialist provisions:
SEN Schools
Supporting pupils with autism (ASC), physical disabilities, moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), medical needs, and communication challenges.
SEMH Schools
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma, and behavioural challenges.
Who We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
Experience working in SEND settings or with pupils with additional needs (preferred but not essential)

A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
-
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
-
A genuine passion for inclusive education
