SEN Teacher – NG12 Area
Full-Time | Term Time Only 

Are you an experienced and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive, nurturing school environment? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a primary school in the NG12 area, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting children with a range of additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about providing tailored support and making a positive impact on students’ learning and development.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to children with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met

  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess pupils’ progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure every child achieves their full potential

  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and outside agencies to develop effective learning plans

  • Support children’s emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and well-being

  • Maintain clear records of pupils’ progress and report to senior leadership as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience working with children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils

  • An understanding of key SEN strategies and a commitment to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
