SEN Teacher – Halifax
Location: Halifax
Pay: £160 – £210 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm
We are seeking an inspiring and adaptable SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Halifax (HX area) supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and PMLD.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and thrives on helping every learner reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated, creative lessons tailored to individual learning plans.

Lead a small class with the support of experienced teaching assistants.

Create a positive, structured environment that promotes engagement, independence, and confidence.

Use communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches to support pupils.

Liaise with therapists, parents, and SENCOs to ensure consistent, high-quality provision.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
-
Experience teaching students with SEN/SEMH/PMLD needs.
-
Knowledge of adaptive and inclusive teaching approaches.

Moving & Handling and Personal Care experience desirable.
-
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
