A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a GOOD graded Primary school in Pontefract (WF9)

We are looking for individuals with experience working with students of various abilities, ranging from moderate learning difficulties to complex and profound needs.

The post requires a talented SEND Teaching Assistant who is flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children with educational needs to join their team of dedicated staff.

All applicants must be NVQ Level 3 qualified and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.

The School are looking to interview via Zoom during the summer holidays in preparation for the successful candidates to start the role on the 7th September when the school re-opens.

Information:

Start date – September 2020

Location – Normanton

Pay Rate - GBP60 - GBP90 per day (depending on experience)

The role will include:

Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation

1:1 work with students who require additional support

Leading group work

Helping the class teacher with pupil observations

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role in school is preferable

Care background would be an advantage

2x references from educational establishments

A valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
