We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with additional learning, communication, behavioural, or emotional needs.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
- Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or similar setting.
- Relevant SEN qualifications and/or substantial SEN experience.
- Knowledge of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, or learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have previous SEN experience and/or relevant SEN qualifications.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check in line with safer recruitment procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
