Support worker for children who have special needs – start February 2020

Are you looking for a support worker position?

Would you like to work with children in an outstanding SEN school?

Can you use hoist equipment and provide personal care?

I am currently looking for a member of support staff to work in a South Croydon all age special needs school. You will be working with children who are wheel chair users and have physical and medical needs.

If you have any of the following, you may be suitable for this kind of work:

  • Previous work experience as a healthcare assistant, residential support worker, nurse, SEN teaching assistant
  • Ability to use hoist equipment and provide personal care – this is essential
  • Availability 5 days a week Monday – Friday between 08:30am and 15:30pm
  • Training in child protection, safeguarding, multi-sensory impairment, PECs, Makaton, moving and handling
  • Any relevant qualifications for working in education or health and social care
