SEN/SEMH Learning Support Assistant

Location: BS10, Bristol
Start Date: September
Hours: Monday–Friday, Term Time Only

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the BS10 area of Bristol. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in their learning, helping them build confidence, achieve their goals, and thrive in the classroom.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, including SEN
  • Encourage positive behaviour, participation, and independence
  • Help create a safe and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A patient, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs
  • School-based experience is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
