Job Title: SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant
Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £90 - £110 Per day
Job Duties:
- Assist the classroom teacher in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Support with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Assist in preparing and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of SEN students
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Education:
Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
Experience:
Previous experience working with students with special educational needs in a school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning needs and abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with SEN students
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a secondary school setting
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
