Location: Trafford area

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision in the Trafford area on a full-time basis starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a lasting impact on their education and wellbeing.


About the Setting

The provision supports pupils aged 4-11 years with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
  • Speech, language, and communication needs

The school offers a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported both academically and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning and positive behaviour support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Implement and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Use effective strategies to manage behaviour and promote engagement

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • A passionate, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and SEN strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Resilient, patient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
