SEN Maths Teacher – The New Forest

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 (Paid to Scale)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist provision in The New Forest to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering pay in line with the teacher pay scale.

The Role:

As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will deliver personalised and engaging maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated maths lessons to pupils with SEN

  • Adapting teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and SLD

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis where required

  • Monitoring progress and adjusting learning plans accordingly

  • Working collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching maths, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting

  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills

Safeguarding Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service or

  • Willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS through Teaching Personnel
