Inspire. Support. Transform.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a specialist independent education provision for a passionate SEN Maths Teacher who’s ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

This unique setting supports learners aged 7–19 who may struggle in mainstream education, offering a personalised, nurturing and creative approach to learning. Education here is all about meeting students where they are - and helping them discover where they can go.

The Role

As an SEN Maths Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, flexible Maths education to learners taught in small groups or 1:1 across a number of local learning hubs. Working closely with senior teaching staff, you’ll help design and deliver multi‑sensory, innovative, learning experiences tailored to each learner’s needs, interests and goals.

This is a role for someone who believes education is about confidence, connection and progress - academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and review personalised Maths programmes
  • Use creative and varied teaching strategies to maximise engagement
  • Champion young people’s voice and involvement in their learning
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and risk management procedures are followed
  • Support SEN documentation, assessments, progress tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, including EHCP‑related reporting
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and SEN best practice

What We’re Looking For

  • A learner‑centred teacher with a passion for SEN education
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A reflective practitioner keen to develop and grow

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Maths
  • SEN teaching experience preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel between local sites
  • Full driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance

Why Join?

You’ll be part of a supportive, forward‑thinking team that truly believes every learner deserves the chance to thrive. Your work will have a lasting impact on young people who need a teacher who sees their potential and champions their future.
