SEN Learning Support Practitioner
Location: Stockport
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑Time | Temp to Perm
Help children shine every day in a supportive, specialist school environment.
Teaching Personnel are partnering with a nurturing, forward‑thinking SEND school in Stockport to hire a SEN Learning Support Practitioner. The school supports pupils from primary through post‑16 and is known for its warm, inclusive approach.
The Role
You’ll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them feel safe, confident and engaged in learning.
You will:
✅ Provide 1:1 and small‑group support
✅ Assist pupils with Autism, sensory needs & complex communication needs
✅ Support emotional regulation, social skills & independence
✅ Help with physical needs, mobility support and personal care
✅ Contribute to a positive, nurturing learning environment
About You
You’ll thrive here if you have:
• Experience in education, care, youth work or support roles
• Understanding of Autism, sensory needs or learning disabilities
• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills
• A calm, encouraging approach to behaviour and learning
• An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
