Teaching Personnel are looking for caring, motivated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Support Practitioners to work across a mix of primary, secondary and specialist SEN schools in Stockport, Tameside and East Manchester.
About the Role
Every day will bring something new as you support children with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, communication differences, sensory needs, physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
You’ll help pupils access learning and feel safe, supported and understood. Your role may include:
✅ Classroom support alongside teachers
✅ 1:1 or small‑group intervention work
✅ Helping pupils with communication & emotional regulation
✅ Supporting sensory needs and positive behaviour routines
✅ Making learning fun, accessible and engaging
✅ Working closely with SENCOs, therapists and teacher teams

Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience with children or young people (education, youth work, care, support roles, tutoring, psychology backgrounds etc.)
- A nurturing, patient and positive approach
- Willingness to support behavioural, communication and sensory needs
- Reliability, resilience and a proactive mindset
- Monday–Friday availability (8:30–15:30)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
