Job description

We are working in partnership with a School in Newbury to recruit a caring and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional needs within a primary setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and supporting children to reach their full potential in a nurturing school environment.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Support pupils with EHCPs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence
  • Support pupils both in and out of the classroom, including during break times

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care setting)
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant SEN qualifications or training desirable but not essential
