Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work within welcoming and supportive primary schools in Reading for a September 2026 start.
The Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Support children with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
- Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
- A caring, patient, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications or transferable experience are advantageous
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
