SEN Learning Support Staff – Secondary SEN School (Fazakerley, Liverpool)

Teaching Personnel – Part-Time & Full-Time Roles Available
Start Date: Monday 13th April
Working Hours: 8:30am – 15:45pm

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated, compassionate and proactive SEN Learning Support Staff to join a supportive secondary SEN school in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. This welcoming school provides tailored education for young people with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD and PMLD.

We are offering both full-time and part-time opportunities, making this an ideal role for individuals wanting to build a career in education or care, or those seeking a rewarding new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs
  • Assisting pupils in accessing the curriculum and promoting independence
  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
  • Implementing personalised education and behaviour plans
  • Helping with mobility, personal care, and sensory needs where required
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and modelling appropriate communication and social skills

About You:

  • Experience in education, care, youth work or supporting individuals with SEND is preferred but not essential
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and staff
  • A desire to make a positive impact on young people’s lives

Teaching Personnel will provide full training, ongoing CPD, and a dedicated consultant supporting you throughout your placement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
