SEN Hub Primary School LSA
Frequency: Part Time or Full Time
Location: BS7 – Horfield, Bishopston, Filton
Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for an SEN Hub LSA to work with Primary Schools in Bristol.
As an SEN Hub LSA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children with a range of additional needs within a dedicated SEN hub or nurture space. You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and specialist staff to create a calm, structured and inclusive environment where every pupil can access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, EAL).
• Adapt learning tasks, activities and resources to meet individual needs within the hub.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, sensory breaks, routines and personalised strategies.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviours, and interventions, feeding back to teachers and SEN teams.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing hub environment that promotes both learning and wellbeing.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families, ensuring consistent communication and support.
Desirable Experience:
• Experience supporting children with SEN (school, youth work, care, or similar settings).
• Ability to adapt your communication and approach to suit diverse needs and abilities.
• Knowledge of PECs, Makaton, visual supports, or sensory strategies.
• Experience with behaviour regulation, de‑escalation, or nurture‑based approaches.
• Confidence in building strong rapport with children who may struggle with engagement or emotional regulation.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
