SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Milton Keynes
Start: ASAP / Summer Term 2026
Full Time
Until Summer Break (July 2026) with strong potential to continue into September
£110 – £130 per day PAYE

A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint an experienced SEN HLTA to support pupils across the school. You’ll play a key role delivering small group interventions, providing targeted 1:1 support, and helping pupils access learning in a positive and structured environment.

The school is part of a forward-thinking multi-academy trust, providing excellent collaboration opportunities, shared SEN expertise, and ongoing professional development.

Your Responsibilities:
• Deliver focused intervention sessions to small groups of pupils
• Provide tailored 1:1 support for children with additional needs
• Support pupils with academic progress, confidence, and engagement
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning across the classroom

Essential Job Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Confidence leading interventions and independent support sessions
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
