SEN English Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN English Teacher to join our specialist school in Pilning, supporting children and young people with autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing, supportive environment.
The Role
-
Teaching English across lower KS3 and KS4.

Supporting pupils with autism, adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

Delivering engaging and accessible lessons, including GCSE English where appropriate.

Planning and marking responsibilities included.

Covering a long-term sickness, with the position paid to scale.
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching English, ideally up to GCSE level.

Understanding of and/or experience working with pupils with autism or SEN needs.

Ability to inspire, motivate and differentiate learning to support every student’s progress.

Location: Pilning.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Contract: Long-term cover (sickness absence).

Pay: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS as applicable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
