SEN Classroom Support Worker
Wigan | Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available | September Start
Teaching Personnel are seeking caring and enthusiastic SEN Classroom Support Assistants to join a specialist Primary SEN School in Wigan. You will support pupils with moderate additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), speech and language difficulties, developmental delays, and sensory processing needs.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Promote communication, social skills, and independence.
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
