JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN 1:1
Location: South East England, Oxfordshire, Faringdon
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs (SEN)
- Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to the student's needs
- Assist with academic tasks and provide guidance in various subjects
- Support the student in developing social and communication skills
- Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's learning
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Understanding of special education practises and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Special Education)
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
- Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Training in behaviour management techniques
- Additional training in specific areas of SEN (e.g., autism, dyslexia)
Working Conditions:
- This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Work will primarily take place within a school OR HOME setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
