SEMH Teaching Assistant – Stockport & Tameside

Looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with additional needs? We’re hiring SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across schools in East Manchester.

What you’ll do:

• Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Assist with challenging behaviour and complex needs
• Work in classroom‑based roles across a variety of local schools
• Take on day‑to‑day, short‑term or long‑term placements

About you:

• Experience with young people (school or care setting ideal)
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30
• Confident supporting behaviour needs
• Positive, patient and proactive
• DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
