Do you have experience working within an educational setting supporting children who face barriers towards their learning?

My client is a specialist school based in Runcorn, catering for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. They are seeking to employ a Teaching assistant who has the ability to work on a 1:1 basis with young people who have needs which prevent them from functioning academically/socially in a group or school setting. This Teaching assistant role will be working 1:1 with children currently without a school place, so the Teaching assistant who is successful in their application will be required to travel as you could be working on different sites across Halton.

The successful Teaching assistant will support the young people access a curriculum which is focused directly at their individual needs. This is managed through a school trust, the main school will provide work, it is then down to the Teaching assistant to manage the young person in a way which enables them to make both education and social progress.

The successful teaching assistant applying for this post will ideally have previous experience working with behaviour and the flexibility to travel to different settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
