Psychology Graduate – Stockport

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in the south of Stockport who are looking to hire recent Psychology/Social sciences graduate to work within their SEN department. Due to the recent return to school safter numerous lockdowns and the beginning of a new term we have found numerous schools need additional support for students that have developed SEMH needs.

The specific pupils who would have been previously identified on having specific SEMH needs from the school SENCO, you will therefore be working within the SEN department and supporting students that may need more assistance compared to their peers.

You may be asked to help with the students additional needs such as reading, spelling and comprehension tasks alongside the ability to support both students and staff regarding any tasks needed.

Job Role includes:

  • Helping with multiple tasks in and around the school for both general SEN and SEMH support.
  • Ability of working alongside children who often find themselves in need of more support than their peers. (Focusing on SMEH support)
  • Can work well under pressure with the ability of overcoming any diversity for different situations and scenarios.
  • Understanding of producing resources for those that may be in need of more additional support, both in small groups and 1:1 Support.
  • Pay would be dependent on experience, between £70- £85 per day based on prior experience.

With this school being located in the Wilmslow area of Stockport it has great accessibility from public transport links of both the Metrolink, Train stations and Bus stops. This would also be a very accessible journey for car drivers with both the M60 and M56 running close by to the school alongside a large car park. This school is set in very pleasant surroundings and pride themselves in the fantastic facilities both within school and the local area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
