SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Time: Full-Time | ASAP Start
Pay: £95+

We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. You'll be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them build confidence, develop positive relationships, and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
What You'll Do:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive relationships and act as a trusted role model.
- Support pupils to manage their emotions and behaviour using consistent strategies.
- Help deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to promote progress and wellbeing.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and self-esteem.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs (preferred but not essential).
- Is calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
- Can build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
- Is committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
