Start Date: ASAP

Do you want to make a genuine difference in a young person's life?

We're working with one of our fantastic partner provisions who are looking for a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Young Person's Mentor to join their team this September.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support young people who have faced barriers within mainstream education, helping them rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support to students.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, attendance and engagement with learning.
  • Supporting young people throughout the school day, helping them regulate their emotions and make positive choices.
  • Building trusting relationships that help students feel safe, supported and valued.
  • Working closely with the wider school team to create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours (this is desirable but not essential!).
  • Is a confident communicator who enjoys building positive relationships.
  • Has a calm, proactive and resilient approach.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is happy to apply for one.
  • Has a full UK driving licence – this is essential.

What's on offer:

  • A truly rewarding role where you'll make a real difference every single day.
  • A welcoming, friendly and supportive staff team.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Supportive senior leaders who genuinely invest in your growth and wellbeing.
  • The opportunity to develop new skills and progress within education.
  • Small class sizes, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with the young people you support.

This role could be a great fit if you've worked as a:

  • Youth Worker
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Sports Coach or Sports Graduate
  • Social Worker
  • Teaching Assistant
  • Support Worker
  • Behaviour Mentor

If you're passionate about helping vulnerable young people grow in confidence, overcome challenges and become the very best version of themselves, we'd love to hear from you.
