SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Immediate Start)
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11 to 16 within a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary setting in Bournemouth.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference every day.
Working hours: 8.30am to 4pm
Hourly rate: £13.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support in and out of the classroom

Assist with engagement, learning and daily routines

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Support behaviour and learning in line with school expectations
Requirements
-
Minimum of 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN
-
A calm, patient and resilient approach

Ability to work full-time in a secondary environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
