SEMH Teaching Assistant – Bispham – Start ASAP – Full Time

Salary: £13.95 - £14.50 per hour

Contract: Full-time, long-term (Monday–Friday)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnered schools in the Bispham area. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

About the Role:

As an SEMH TA, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs
Help students to regulate emotions, engage positively, and access learning
Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
Implement behaviour support plans and individual learning programmes
Build trusted relationships to support progress both socially and academically

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEN, youth work or care settings
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
A passion for helping young people overcome barriers
Availability to work full-time, Monday–Friday

A Team Teach certificate is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
