SEMH Learning Mentor – Make a Real Difference Every Single Day
Location: Tameside
Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (08:30–15:30)

We’re supporting a specialist secondary SEMH school in Tameside, and they are looking for a committed, inspiring SEMH Learning Mentor to join their team immediately.
The Role
As a vital part of the school’s support team, you'll work with students aged 11–16 who face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Your role is to help them:
✅ Build confidence
✅ Strengthen resilience
✅ Develop positive behaviour
✅ Re-engage with learning
The school offers a blended, life-skills‑focused curriculum designed to help students grow in areas such as:
- Communication & interpersonal skills
- Teamwork & collaboration
- Personal organisation
- Independent learning
You’ll be someone who can provide calm, structure, and encouragement—helping students feel safe, understood, and ready to access learning.
✅ What You’ll Need
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Availability for full-time hours (no part-time options)
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers

Mandatory Safeguarding Checks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
