Job description

Secondary Tutor – Gateshead (NE8)

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Secondary Tutor to support students in the Gateshead (NE8) area. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping learners progress and build confidence in their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group tuition at secondary level
  • Assist students with key subjects and exam preparation
  • Tailor lessons to suit individual learning needs
  • Build strong rapport and encourage engagement
  • Track and report on student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged students
  • Good subject knowledge
  • Experience working with young people (SEN experience is a plus)
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Working Hours:

  • Part-time / flexible
  • Weekdays (Monday to Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
