£90–£100 per day (Weekly PAYE Pay)

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Newcastle. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers, support students in their learning, and develop the core skills needed for a future in education.

  • Gain experience supporting Key Stage 3 & 4 students
  • Develop confidence in behaviour management and student engagement

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Helping students stay engaged, focused and confident in their learning
  • Adapting tasks to support different abilities and learning needs
  • Building positive, professional relationships with students and staff
  • Gaining hands-on experience across a range of subjects

  • Degree-qualified (any subject welcome)
  • Interested in a career in education or working with young people
  • Confident, proactive and willing to get involved
  • Strong communicators who can build rapport with teenagers
  • Resilient and adaptable in a school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
