Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools and specialist provisions across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, compassionate and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with SEN within the classroom

• Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support

• Encouraging independence and confidence

• Supporting pupils with communication, learning and emotional needs

• Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff

Suitable backgrounds include:

• Teaching Assistants

• Care workers

• Residential support workers

• Psychology graduates

• Youth workers

• Individuals with SEN experience

• Experience supporting children or young people

• Strong communication skills

• Patience, empathy and resilience

• A positive and proactive approach

• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
