Job description

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join one of our Specialists schools in Salford. You’ll be working with students who have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and other learning or behavioural challenges.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Supporting students with complex behavioural, sensory, and emotional needs.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote emotional regulation.
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records in line with school and safeguarding policies.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and experience working in SEN or SEMH settings.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A flexible and creative mindset to adapt to individual learning needs.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential for travel between sites or outreach work).

Requirements:

✅ QTS and relevant teaching experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
