Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (Sefton)

Start Date: 1st September
Location: Sefton (Liverpool area)
Pay: £95 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-time (Temporary with potential to go permanent)

Teaching Personnel Liverpool are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the Sefton area. The school is seeking dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their team from 1st September, ready for the new academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in the classroom. There is strong potential for these roles to become permanent for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support learning and engagement
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, including with students with additional needs
  • Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is essential, ideally within a secondary school environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
