Job description

Cover Supervisor – Secondary School

Location: Macclesfield

Our partner secondary schools in Macclesfield are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors who can lead classrooms, deliver pre-prepared work, and ensure lessons continue smoothly in the absence of the class teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching, aspiring educators looking to gain valuable classroom experience, or experienced school staff who enjoy working closely with young people in a school environment.

The role involves:

  • Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans provided by teaching staff
  • Maintaining a positive and focused learning environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour with confidence and consistency
  • Supporting students to remain engaged and on task throughout lessons

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally within educational settings
  • Are confident managing groups of students independently
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Are adaptable, professional, and enthusiastic

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
