Science Teachers Needed – Stone Secondary Schools

Stone | ST15

- £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, we're working with a number of welcoming secondary schools in and around Stone that are looking to add enthusiastic teachers to their Science departments.

We have long-term, maternity cover, permanent and flexible supply opportunities available, with roles to suit both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.
  • Teaching your specialist subject while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for scientific discovery.
  • Preparing and delivering practical experiments, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed within the laboratory.
  • Differentiating lessons to support students of all abilities, helping every learner reach their full potential.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress through marking, feedback and regular assessments to support GCSE success.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel confident to ask questions and develop their understanding.
  • Working closely with the wider Science department to share ideas, resources and best practice, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues to promote high standards of learning and behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
