Job description

An opportunity to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in North London teaching both KS3 and KS4 Science lessons for students to keen to learn.

  • Full time Teacher of Science required from February 2020 or sooner if possible
  • 12 month fixed term contract covering a maternity leave
  • Possibility of earning a permanent contract due to strong working relationship with the school
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
  • ‘Good’ secondary school in North London

The successful candidate for this job will be responsible for teaching all three disciplines of Science across both key stages, with the opportunity to teach within their specialism at GCSE level. With the school having an excellent Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) programme, those new to the profession are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity. Prospective candidates should have experience of planning and delivering both theory and practical lessons that are engaging and challenging to all students.

The school has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in their latest inspection in 2018, with a good quality of education and strong leadership and management being identified as key strengths. The school is recently moved to new campus and now possess new facilities and equipment to aid teachers and increase student.
