Science Teacher – Yeovil

Secondary School | Full-Time | ASAP Start | Competitive Pay

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a new challenge and who is available to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will become part of a supportive school environment, working alongside an established Science department and helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.

The Role

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons

  • Encourage students to develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts

  • Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, learning and achievement

The Ideal Candidate

We're keen to hear from qualified Science Teachers with QTS or QTLS, as well as experienced teachers and ECTs who are looking for their next opportunity.

You should ideally have:

  • Strong Science subject knowledge

  • Experience teaching within a secondary school environment

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A flexible, enthusiastic and professional approach to teaching
