The Opportunity
A well-regarded secondary school in Salford is looking to appoint a talented and committed Science Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking department dedicated to high standards of teaching and learning.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where all students are encouraged to succeed. There may also be the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5, depending on experience and specialism.
Key Duties
- Plan, prepare and deliver effective Science lessons
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Science department
- Support the wider life of the school through participation in school initiatives
Person Specification
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
- Effective classroom management and organisational skills
- A professional and proactive approach to teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
