Science Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a long-term, full-time role with the opportunity to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring General Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning within their students.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
 - 
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
 - 
Assess, record, and report on student progress effectively.
 - 
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and pastoral care.
 
Requirements:
- 
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
 - 
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (KS3–KS4).
 - 
Proven ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
 - 
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
